ব্যাসিলিকা সিস্টার্ণ দেখে বেরিয়ে আসার পর ঠান্ডা বাতাস ছেঁকে ধরেছে; বড় ভালো লাগছে ১০ ডিগ্রি সেলসিয়াসের এই বাতাস! এতক্ষণ বদ্ধ জায়গায় জ্যাকেট পরে ঘামছিলাম। পা দুটো ব্যাথা করছে; দুপুর আড়াইটায় হাঁটা শুরু করেছি, এখন প্রায় সাড়ে ছয়টা বাজে; ভাবলাম একটু জিরানো দরকার।
এক জায়গায় বসলাম, পিছনেই আয়া সোফিয়া, ডানে গুলহানে পার্ক, সামনে ব্যাসিলিকা সিস্টার্ণ। আমার সামনে ঠিক ডান পাশেই এক তরুণ কাঁঠালের বিচির মত দেখতে একটা জিনিস বিক্রি করছে; ইস্তাম্বুলের রাস্তায় এটি অতি সাধারণ দৃশ্য। এটি নিশ্চয়ই জনপ্রিয় কোন আইটেম হবে। আমি চেখে দেখার কোন আগ্রহ পাইনি; পরে শুনেছি, বড় মিস করেছি।
বসে আছি আবেশে চোখ বুজে; ব্যাসিলিকা সিস্টার্ণের আয়তন ও নির্মানশৈলী নিয়ে ভাবছি, এর মধ্যেই সেই তরুণ বিক্রেতার সাথে ঝগড়ায় জড়িয়ে পড়েছে কয়েকজন যুবক। মনে হল, দাম দস্তর নিয়ে ঝগড়া হচ্ছে। যাই হোক, তাদের মধ্যে মধ্যস্ততা করে দিলো আরেকজন। এই ঠান্ডার মধ্যে ঝগড়া করা খারাপ না, শরীর গরম হয়!
রাস্তাঘাটগুলো আমার পরিচিত হতে শুরু করেছে, এখন আর আতংকিত থাকি না কিভাবে কোথায় যাব বলে। এখন সব সিস্টেম হাতের মুঠোয়; যেখানে মেট্রোতে যাওয়া যায় না, সেখানে ট্রামে যাওয়া যায়, যেখানে ট্রামে যাওয়া যায় না, সেখানে মেট্রোতে। অর্থাৎ, কিছু কিছু জায়গায় যেতে মেট্রো ও ট্রাম উভয়েরই ব্যবহার লাগবে।
অতঃপর উঠে দাঁড়ালাম; শরীরের শক্তি আজ নিঃশেষ হয়ে এসেছিল, তাই হোটেলে ফেরার সিদ্ধান্ত নিলাম। আজ রাতের খাবার হোটেল থেকেই অর্ডার করব বলে ফিরতি পথ ধরলাম।
৭ ডিসেম্বর সকালে ট্রেনিং এর উদ্দেশ্যে বেরিয়ে গুড়ি গুড়ি বৃষ্টির দেখা পেলাম; এমন বৃষ্টিতে হাঁটতে খারাপ লাগবে না। এর মধ্যেই ব্যস্ত হয়ে পড়েছে শহর, অফিসগামীরা বেরিয়ে গেছে ঘর ছেড়ে, আমিও হেঁটে চলেছি ট্রেনিং সেন্টারের পানে।
ট্রেনিং শেষ করে দুপুরে যথারীতি র্যাডিসন ব্লু সিসলিতে বুফে লাঞ্চ সেরে রওনা দিলাম সুলেমানিয়া মসজিদ দেখব বলে। একটা স্টেশনে মেট্রো থেকে নেমে হেঁটে যাব বলে সিদ্ধান্ত নিলাম; রাস্তা প্রায় ৯০০ মিটার, ১০-১২ মিনিটের মামলা। আগেই বলেছি, ইস্তাম্বুল হলো হাঁটার শহর; এই শহরে ছেলে বুড়ো সবাই হাঁটে আর যারা ইনফ্যান্ট তারা স্ট্রলারে চড়ে, পাহাড়ী শহর বলে কথা!
গুগল ম্যাপ ধরে যেতে যেতেই হটাত চোখে পড়ল সুন্দর একটি মসজিদ; দেখেই বোঝা যায়, এটি কিছুটা অবহেলিত! সাইনবোর্ডের কাছে গিয়ে নাম দেখলাম, কালেন্দারহানে মসজিদ! এটি দেখার আগ্রহ হলো, সামান্য পথ ঘুরে গিয়ে মসজিদে প্রবেশ করলাম। আমি যেহেতু যোহরের নামাজ পড়িনি, এখানেই যোহর আদায় করার সিদ্ধান্ত নিলাম।
মসজিদের ভিতরটা কিন্তু যথেষ্ট সুন্দর, এখানে জামাতও হয় নিশ্চয় তবে একে ঘিরে কোন কোলাহল নেই। দুই রাকাত নামাজ পড়ে বের হবার পথে দেখি এক কিশোর হন্তদন্ত হয়ে ঢুকে নামাজে দাঁড়িয়েছে; আমি জুতা ফ্লোরে রেখে পায়ে দিতে না দিতে তার এক রাকাত শেষ! মেট্রোরেলের চেয়েও দ্রুতগতিতে সে নামাজ পড়ছে; মায়ের তাড়া না খেলে বা বেতের বাড়ি না খেলে কেউ এভাবে নামাজ পড়ার কথা না!
কালেন্দারহানে মসজিদ থেকে বেরিয়ে কিছুটা যেতেই পেয়ে গেলাম ইস্তাম্বুল ইউনিভার্সিটি; মনটা ভালোলাগায় ভরে গেল। কিন্তু বিপত্তি বাঁধল ভাষা জটিলতায়; আমি এত এত ইউনিভার্সিটির ছেলে মেয়ে দেখছি, কিন্তু কাউকেই বোঝাতে পারলাম না যে, আমি এর মেইন গেটটি খুঁজছি! ফুলের মত সুন্দর ইস্তাম্বুলের যুবক-যুবতীরা; এদের দিকে এক নেত্রে চেয়ে থাকা যায়। অবশ্য মেয়েদের দিকে চোখ পড়লে সাথে সাথে নামিয়ে নেয়ার বিধান রয়েছে!
একসময় নানান ক্যাচাল করে গেট খুঁজে পাওয়া গেল; ভিতরে প্রবেশ করে হতাশ হলাম, এটি আমাদের দেশের বড় বড় প্রাইভেট ভার্সিটির চেয়ে বড় কিছু নয়! কিংবা আমারও ভুল হতে পারে, দেয়ালের ঐপাড়ে যে বড় বিল্ডিংটি দেখা যাচ্ছে, সেটিও এই ভার্সিটির অংশ হতে পারে! তবে, প্রথম দর্শনে হতাশ হয়ে আমি বহুল আকাঙ্ক্ষিত সুলেমানিয়া মসজিদের পানে এগোলাম!
